Am I ready to enter the labour market?
What skills are needed for me to be prepared?
How can I continue my higher education studies?
What kind of study opportunities are available?
How can I get guidance from experts?
How can I extend my network and build relations with institutions?
How to search for a job, an internship or a volunteering opportunity?
Do my peers encounter the same challenges?
The EU Regional Network for Alumni and Young Professionals is here to help!
Since 2015, the European Union, through the EU Regional Trust Fund in Response to the Syrian Crisis, the ‘EU Madad Fund’, has been committed to providing youth, refugees and host communities in Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey with the necessary support to better access quality further and higher education opportunities. In this perspective, a unified regional alumni community of former and recent EU-funded scholarship holders in these five countries was developed to facilitate exchanges and the building of relationships and connections between alumni and to provide potential educational and labour market opportunities at national, regional and international levels.
The EU Regional Network of Alumni and Young Professionals was set up and is being managed by the HOPES-LEB project consortium implemented by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Campus France and Nuffic, in cooperation with the EDU-SYRIA scholarship programme led by the German Jordanian University in Amman and the DAFI programme implemented by UNHCR and with the active participation of alumni graduates of EU-funded higher education projects as well as higher education institutions and organisations in the region.
This network gives me hope that I can improve myself, get future work and internship opportunities and be part of a regional community which will allow us to forge friendships, support and learn from each other
Are you an alumni of higher education projects funded by the EU Madad Fund in the region such as HOPES,HOPES-LEB, EDU-SYRIA, DAFI or SPARK in Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon or Turkey?
